Once people have made up their minds to live healthier lives, it's easier to engage them online. But what about the folks who aren't ready to change their habits yet? In this session, Deb Gelman will share ideas for understanding the needs of people in different stages of behavioral change. She'll identify ways to reach these audiences through content, design and user experience. And she'll talk about how to support individuals in achieving and maintaining their lifestyle goals regardless of what stage they're in.

Bio

Debra Gelman leads the user experience for Nutrisystem.com, America¹s number one home delivery weight loss company. Through research, design and testing, Deb and her team develop web and mobile products which help Nutrisystem customers lead healthier lives. Her current initiatives include a revitalized online community providing support and information to customers, as well as an integrated sales process to help potential customers identify and purchase the plans that best meet their weight-loss needs.

Prior to joining Nutrisystem, Deb developed user-focused solutions for a variety of companies including Comcast, ING Direct, Scholastic, GlaxoSmithKline and Merck. She has extensive experience designing with and for kids, and is author of the upcoming "Design for Kids," to be published by Rosenfeld Media in 2012.
