This presentation will look at what it’s like to implement design change within a large-scale EHR vendor, with examples of some of the challenges, techniques for building support, and opportunities for improvement.

Bio

Scott is the Director of User Experience at Siemens Healthcare, near Philadelphia, where he leads a team that designs electronic health record (EHR) products used by clinicians in hospitals throughout the U.S. and Europe. He is also the co-chair of the EHR Vendor Association's Quality and Clinician Experience Workgroup.

Prior to Siemens, Scott led usability and UX design teams at Telcordia Technologies, developing software products for clients such as Verizon and AT&T. Most of his work has focused on driving a unifying UX strategy across large-scale products and organizations.
